About Satluj (2026) – Diljit Dosanjh Full Movie Watch Online

Welcome to satluj.online, your dedicated portal for the critically acclaimed 2026 Indian biographical drama Satluj, starring Diljit Dosanjh. Our platform is born from a deep commitment to preserving and sharing stories of courage, justice, and historical truth. Satluj chronicles the real-life investigation of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, a bank clerk from Amritsar who uncovered the enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings of over 25,000 Sikh youths during Punjab’s separatist insurgency in the 1980s and 1990s. Directed by Honey Trehan and produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP Movies with MacGuffin Pictures, the film features an ensemble cast including Arjun Rampal, Kanwaljit Singh, and Suvinder Vicky. Despite a tumultuous three-year battle with the CBFC—which demanded 127 cuts, a title change, and removal of Khalra’s name—the film premiered uncut on ZEE5 on July 3, 2026, only to be abruptly removed two days later. Since then, it has become a viral symbol of defiance against censorship, with a 9.4 IMDb rating and widespread grassroots screenings across Punjab and Rajasthan.

Our Mission

Our mission is to ensure that Satluj reaches every viewer who seeks truth, justice, and historical awareness. We believe in the power of cinema to educate and inspire, especially when stories of human rights violations are suppressed. By providing access to this film, we honor Jaswant Singh Khalra’s legacy and support the fight against censorship. We aim to make this poignant exploration of state accountability and personal courage available to audiences worldwide, free from political or commercial bias.

Our Values

  • Truth and Transparency: We are committed to presenting the film’s narrative without alteration, reflecting the real events of Khalra’s investigation into illegal mass cremations and his subsequent abduction, torture, and murder by Punjab Police officers in 1995.
  • Defiance Against Censorship: We stand against any form of artistic or historical suppression. The film’s journey—from CBFC demands to its removal from ZEE5—reinforces our resolve to provide uncut access.
  • Community and Seva: Inspired by the grassroots movement that circulated downloaded copies and organized public screenings, we view our work as an act of service (seva) to ensure this story of courage and resistance reaches the masses.
  • Human Rights Advocacy: We prioritize the dignity of all individuals, especially victims of state violence, and use this platform to amplify voices that have been silenced.

Our History

Satluj was originally titled Ghallughara and later Punjab ’95 before settling on its current name, inspired by the Punjabi river. The film faced a three-year-long certification battle with the CBFC, which demanded up to 127 cuts, a title change, and objections to references of Khalra’s name and police violence. The makers withdrew from a theatrical release and canceled its 2023 Toronto International Film Festival premiere. Finally, on July 3, 2026, the film premiered uncut on ZEE5, but was removed for Indian viewers just two days later on July 5, with ZEE5 citing “current developments” and the I&B Ministry stating it lacked required certification. Despite this, the film sparked a viral movement: audiences circulated downloaded copies, organized public screenings in villages across Punjab and Rajasthan, and treated it as an act of seva. This grassroots effort cemented Satluj as one of the most talked-about and critically acclaimed Indian films of 2026, with a 9.4 IMDb rating and a reputation as a symbol of defiance against censorship. Our platform was created in response to this movement, to provide a reliable and accessible space for viewers to watch the full movie online and engage with its powerful story.
